It is very affordable and not so far to the Airport and Downtown. The county seat is the city of Lawrenceville. The population is near 700,000 and growing. A lot has happened in the last 25 years and Gwinnett is still booming. Gwinnett is ranked top 10 in growth in the state. Average cost of a resale home is $158,900 and new home is $181,000. Once you move your new drivers license is required within 30 days. Check the items required to take with you and don’t forget the fee is $15.00.

Cars model years 1980 –2001 require emission checks. Cars 25 years and older and the 3 most recent model years are exempt. The test price ranges between $10-$25. You will see a number of “emission centers” throughout the areas. You do not have to have your car checked in the county in which you reside. <back to top>
